knits by sachi

I am a doll maker and toy designer. I use many different media for my creations. I do knitting, sewing, hand dyeing, spinning and paper craft. Recently, I have been designing many knitted toys and working for magazines. My first knitting book, “Mini knitted safari” will be out in summer.

Originally from Japan, now I live in West Sussex, England with my husband and two teenage boys.

I really enjoy reading your late bloomer article, as I am going through the same thing right now. I haven’t found what I want to do yet though… I was into knitting for a few year now in cooking. I hope I can find something I devote my time just like you do.
Thank you for sharing your story. It helped me to know I am not the only one.

Thank you very much for your kind comment. Yes, I am sure you will find your true talent.
I have been involved in so many different things, too. I was into paper craft, cooking and baking and you name it, everything. I did feel I was losing my direction, but I don’t think I wasted any time at all doing these things. In the end, all these things start come into place.

I would like to write about this more and hoping to give more ideas and inspirations.
Let’s believe ourselves and keep on creating.

Thank you so much! I will certainly take a look. I am still new to blogging and, I do not know these things. I very much appreciate you doing this for me.

I just saw your blog. I didn’t even know you had one so beautiful as this. I know I don’t spend enough time reading other people’s blogs. I will start reading more by following some of your favorites.

Oh, that’s so sweet of you – thank you! 🙂 I’m the same really, I spend so much time writing but I’m trying to read and engage with other blogs more. It’s so exciting to see what other people are making and doing!

  4. Hello, Sachi-san! I haven’t looked at your blog much lately, but I feel like you deserve The Liebster Award! I’ve nominated you for it, you see! Look here:

Thank you! I didn’t know much about you at all, sorry. Now I am following your blog, too. You like animations, yes? I guess you are still relatively young and know recent animations. I grew up watching old stuff and, I still think about them sometimes. I had miserable school years when I was in primary school, too. I cried everyday and sometimes refused to go to school up to year 4. Ha, ha.

      • When it comes to art, artworks that inspire hope and optimism and are the artworks that I look for! I also like artworks that teach good moral lessons, too! Hm, my favorite fictional stories are actually recent stuff, now that I think about it. Also, you’re welcome, and I’m glad that we got to know each other more! I really like friendship, you know! ^_^

  5. I’ve nominated you for the Very Inspiring Blogger Award – have a look at my blog for the rules if you’d like to accept. Thanks for the inspiration .. I love your work!

Your Ocean book arrived today (the 4th in my collection) and I can’t wait to start making the sea creatures. Loving the seagull and the crab! Have you thought about doing a farmyard book?
